Jazz Haven Supports NH Public Schools TAG Program
Marcella
Monk:
I would like to thank
Craig O'Connell and the Jazz Haven community for supporting
NHPS 8th Grade TAG benefit concert featuring The T.S. Monk
Sextet. As a result of OUR efforts, we were able to give $1,000.00
to Nubian Sisters Cancer Support Group, $500.00 to Red Cross
for tornado relief in Springfield, $300.00 to Varick Church's
Soup kitchen/food pantry, and $100.00 to New Haven Reads.
We also purchased a Kindle for SCSU's 4th Grade Summer Reading
Academy. Again, thank you for your support !!!!!!
Stanley
Welch (Office Of Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro), T.S. Monk
and Bill Fitzpatrick (Director, N.H. Parking Authority)
gather together at fundraiser promoted by Jazz Haven.

A big note of "thanks"
and congratulations to all associated with last night's event
. . . most especially to the board members and volunteers
at Jazz Haven who all worked so diligently for months to raise
money and pull it all together . . . but just as importantly
to the very talented performers who I know worked for less
than their usual fees, the amazing sound company, Shoreline
Pianos, the various emcees, the New Haven Parks Dept staff,
the NHPD, Health Dept, Kim Futrell, Ashley Kozlowski &
the official food vendors and all who came from far &
wide to enjoy the performances. It was truly a memorable event!
The musicians were amazing, the night serene. I'm already
looking forward to 2012.
